10 Feet? Really??? Bluetooth can handle 30! (side note: I'm 6 ft. from the AP and having severe difficulty). If you run a path loss calculation on either 2.4GHz or 5GHz (card puts out up to 450mw I believe? - over 3dBi antennas) do the link budget:
