Based on your problem description, it can be possible that the Intel AppUp(R) center client might be corrupted hence the error message with the Intel(R) service manage process.
The Intel(R) Service Manager process is in charge to download and run the applications of the Intel AppUp(R) center.
In order to fix your problem,please try the follow troubleshooting steps:
1. Go to Windows* control panel
2. Select programs and features and remove the Intel AppUp(R) center
3. Restart your computer in order to remove any remaining files
4 Install the latest version of the Intel AppUp(R) center, you can get it here

5. Finally launch the Intel AppUp(R) center and login to your account.
